Reward offered for info on PNC Bank robbery

The PNC Bank branch at 2200 Cottman Ave. was robbed Monday.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the capture of a man who robbed the PNC Bank branch at 2200 Cottman Ave. on Monday.

The FBI/Philadelphia Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force is hoping to identify and locate the man who entered the bank at 2:23 p.m. and approached the counter. He placed a demand note on the counter that referenced a gun, and reached toward his waistband to imply he was armed, though no weapon was displayed. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of the bank.

The suspect is black, in his mid-40s to early 50s, about 6 feet 1, with a medium build and light complexion. He was clean shaven, with a salt-and-pepper buzz cut. He was wearing a pink Nautica T-shirt, black pants and shoes, silver wristwatch and blue Phillies baseball cap. He is considered armed and dangerous.
